Rallying Red Sox Looking to Complete Late Season Comeback

September 14, 2024

The Boston Red Sox continue to soar through the 2024 MLB season as they fight for a playoff position.

Although not yet eliminated from winning the AL East pennant they are more likely looking at trying to secure a Wild Card berth as they are only a few games back.

The Red Sox have been pitching well lately and have proven their mettle in beating teams with better records.

Just two nights ago they prevailed in a 10 Inning battle with the Baltimore Orioles and next up they face the New York Yankees where they can gain ground within the division.

Alex Cora has done a solid job so far juggling the lineup and pitching staff amidst injuries and public relations difficulties.

He received a decent contract extension that will allow him to skipper the Red Sox for many more seasons.

However he has been quite adamant that this seasons team has great clubhouse chemistry and will not quit on their goal of reaching the playoffs and ultimately the World Series.

The hitting of the team has been very well balanced. While Tyler O’ Neil, Rafael Devers, and Jarren Duran lead the team with homers and RBI’s, other players have good batting averages. This surprisingly even without any players reaching .300 or above so far this season.

Trevor Story is making a comeback of his own and rookie Cedanne Rafaela needs to be commended for doing a spectacular  job filling in that hole in the infield while Story was out with injury.

So now it’s down the stretch they come for the 2024 Red Sox as they make a final playoff push and are in the tight wild card race while hovering a few games above .500.

They have exceeded many preseason expectations but time will tell if this Red Sox squad has what it takes to entertain and tease the fans with another thrilling October Postseason. In the City of Boston, also known as Titletown.

And so we say as always Go Sox Go!!
