Red Sox Soaring Into All-Star Game Riding a Winning Streak

July 11, 2024

After the Celtics rocked the City of Boston with the team’s 18th NBA Championship, the Red Sox have had a few winning streaks of their own.

With the All-Star Game quickly approaching the Boston Red Sox have already hit the 50 win milestone for this season and continue to play well as a team unit.

With 2024 Celtics players in attendance clutching their Larry O’ Brien trophy that they  recently obtained… the Red Sox showed they had some pizazz too and pulled off some come from behind late-inning wins.

Behind the solid play and dramatic hitting of 3B Rafael Devers and OF Jarren Duran(both selected to this Tuesday’s All-Star Game) along with promising pitcher Tanner Houck, the Red Sox won some games in New York against the first place Yankees that have seen them climb up to 3rd place in the AL East.

Everybody chips in at times hitting and slugging while the team plays excellent defense along with timely clutch pitching. Kanley Jansen anchors a bullpen that has put the Red Sox in many positions to close out games with a save opportunity.

Role players like Yoshida, Connor Wong, and rookie Cedanne Rafaela have put up great stats while the clubhouse atmosphere has steadily improved this season.

Manager Alex Cora is managing these 2024 Red Sox towards a playoff push where they could get a wild card berth if not the AL East Pennant outright. There is talk that the Red Sox owners will be buyers this trade deadline as they look for playoffs again this year.

Many have said they may even re-acquire Justin Turner from the Blue Jays to bolster the lineup.

All in all these 2024 Red Sox are playing some good ball and are currently 5 games over .500.

Let’s hope this good play continues, that the All-Star game goes well and the Red Sox continue to soar with their good all round play. This is all in their long awaited quest to become MLB contenders again.

And so we say Go Sox Go!!
